If you are determined to squeeze as many clothes into your closet as humanly possible, these hangers may not be right for you.

The Kascade hangers are relatively slim, but they take up more real estate than hangers that are designed to be as narrow as possible. This may be a drawback for some folks with limited closet space. While I live in a small apartment and generally try to maximize every square inch of storage space, I choose to see the physical footprint of these hangers as a reminder to myself to avoid engaging in fashion overconsumption. Clothes need to earn their place in my closet.

These hangers are not cheap, coming out to around $1.90 per hanger, but considering how much longer I can expect to keep them in comparison with the cheaper hangers I used to rely on, they still seem like a great value.

The hangers also come only in packs of 50, which can be a bit of an inconvenience if you don’t need that many. I bought one box at first, which failed to replace all of the hangers in the closet I share with my husband. After months of using them, we got a second box, and we have since relegated the few non-Proman stragglers to our office coat closet.

Frankly, I can’t imagine needing to shop for hangers again — unless I eventually move into a larger home with more closet space. In that case, I’d spring for another set of these.
